Coffee Story
This single-origin coffee comes from a farm owned and managed by Gabriela Baracat Sanchez, a fourth-generation coffee producer and agronomist.
Her coffee is the result of carefully selected, sun-dried beans, producing a cup with a delicate aroma, creamy texture, and full body. The flavor is dominated by notes of chocolate and hazelnut, with a sweet finish reminiscent of ripe cherry.
We chose this coffee because the farm is certified for its excellent regenerative agriculture practices by the UK-based certification body Regenagri.
What is Regenagri?
Regenagri is an international regenerative agriculture program aimed at ensuring soil health and the prosperity of those who depend on it. It supports farms and organizations transitioning to holistic farming by improving soil health, encouraging biodiversity, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and sequestering CO₂. Regenagri also offers farmers the opportunity to access additional funding through carbon credit markets and environmental subsidies.
By supporting regenerative agriculture, we contribute to the regeneration of our planet and sustainably secure the future of agricultural products and their supply chains.
Variety – Red Catuai
Red Catuai is a Coffea arabica variety developed in Brazil in the 1950s through a cross between Mundo Novo and Caturra. Officially selected by the Agronomic Institute of Campinas, this variety is particularly valued for its adaptability and for striking a good balance between cup quality and agricultural productivity. Red Catuai is known for producing a well-balanced cup, with medium body, mild acidity, and a sweet, smooth aromatic profile.
